Report from Sinergija17

Sinergija is one of the largest and most influential annual conferences in South Eastern Europe, dedicated to digital transformation, information – communication technologies and their business application, this year being organized for the seventeenth time. Although the conference is organized by Microsoft Serbia, it is not exclusively related to Microsoft technologies. It has become a regional brand and synonym for everything new and relevant in IT and business community in general.

The first two conference days (October 25-26) are traditionally Technical days. They are organize as lectures in several parallel tracks. Each of the lectures takes about an hour, followed by networking break at Sinergija Expo.

After last referential visit, Stada IT Solutions was invited by Microsoft to give a lecture about the implementation and customization of the platform. Team that worked on the implementation of MS System Center Service Manager (SCSM) in Hemofarm environment, had a presentation on this topic at Microsoft Sinergija17, on the second day of Technical part of the conference.

Presenters who performed at this conference are:

• Bojan Milićević (Coordinator of the MS infrastructure team) Coordinator of the Microsoft infrastructure team at STADA IT Solutions. Multi-year experience with the development of Microsoft infrastructure acquired in Hemofarm A.D. and within the STADA Group, presented at previous Sinergija and other Microsoft events.

• Đorđe Alavanja (System Engineer for System Support) Master of Information Technology Engineer, working as a systems engineer in the company STADA IT SOLUTIONS. In charge of Microsoft Infrastructure Services, VMware, Veeam and SAN environment. In these areas, he has three years of working experience. He participated in many projects, one of them is the Implementation and Qualification of the System Center Service Manager infrastructure in Hemofarm.

• Denis Turalić (System Engineer in Service Desk and SCSM Service Manager) System Engineer in Service Desk at STADA IT Solutions. The first year of work within the company for which he was in charge of SCSM customization, implementing SCSM workflows, analytics, implementation of the new SCSM HelpDesk portal, SCSM WebFront support analyst console, QA documentation, SITS SCSM personnel training, lectures as well as being in charge of the roll-out of the SCSM project.

First ten minute introduction part has been given by Bojan Milićević and Đorđe Alavanja where Bojan talked about who we are as a company and Đorđe took quick glimpse at the SCSM server and data warehouse infrastructure. The rest of the presentation has been held by Denis Turalić where he talked about the SITS customization of the platform, workflows, automatizations, plans for future implementation and took the audience through two demonstrations of the platform showing the incident life cycle, support analyst console, helpdesk portal, email notifications, computer telephony integration and so on. Presentation room was completely filled with audience, and, most importantly, extremely interested in the topic. Questions and high level of interaction with the audience was present throughout the entire presentation.
